Bayes Impact is a nonprofit organization that deploys data science teams to work with civic and nonprofit organizations on solving big social impact challenges. We're leveraging the power of the one of the biggest revolutions in Silicon Valley - the data revolution - to positively impact our community.
Our belief is that true impact comes from combining insight with an absolute focus on execution. We work on a select number of high impact, high feasibility projects and rely on full-time fellows that focus on one project at a time, supported by leading industry and academic mentors, advisors, and volunteers.
Zidisha is a non-profit organization pioneering the first online microlending community to connect lenders and borrowers directly across international borders. Bayes Impact is providing Zidisha with algorithms to detect fraud and assess credit risk in order to help them become more economically sustainable.
Bayes Impact is deploying a team of data scientists to work with state and stakeholders to find a data-driven approach to prison overcrowding. We identify more and better candidates for probation by implementing risk assessment algorithms to aid the parole decision process and partner with local nonprofits to improve support programs for parolees.
Bayes Impact works with fire departments to optimize their dispatch system by predicting emergencies and providing smarter routing algorithms.
